That may be, but my thesis is that the belief that ozempic will have bad side effects doesnt come from a place of concern but from a punitive desire: “how dare these interloping fatties try to join our club? We’re thin because we’re moral and good. God must therefore punish them.”

It’s not that. In their mind, people should only be able to lose weight through struggle and suffering. In their mind, the drug is allowing those who struggle with their weight to enter a club, thinness, without their permission and ‘earning it.’ The specifics of the drug are immaterial.

As other have pointed out, there are native california palms. Additionally, these are Canary Island date palms (P. canariensis), though, which are native to the Canary islands not true date palms (P. dactylifera).

Also, to be clear, I'm not calling those people wrong. It's fine to believe that it's not okay for a machine to do _______ (create video, essays, etc) even if it can do so wholly without the negative effects cited

There's a contingent that view AI as a social identity threat: (1) it is intolerable to my identity, even in principle, that AI could possibly do ______ (2) therefore, it must be either impossible or entail such dire consequences that it's morally reprehensible.
