[French citizen watching German soldiers marching in the streets] For the record, I NEVER liked his paintings.

Pro-tip: you don't need to want to win if you can make your opponent want to lose.

I really don't like the implication in this story that Head-a-hair has no eyes and that his son will someday inevitably also lose his eyes.

If a midtier braingenius came to the Republicans and, without being asked and without demanding a consultation fee, suggested that the party should move to the center (i.e., leftwards), they'd be correctly labelled as a leftwing person pushing a leftwing agenda and treated as such.

Whoever did the graphic here even has This Guy surrounded by more red than blue, looking *away* from the blue. No particular facial expression, old fashioned black and white, everything about him says "middle manager offhandedly dismissing your request". That's all gotta be on purpose, right?

For what it's worth, I agree with Appelbaum. The guy with massive name/brand recognition who just won big is not the future of the Democrats. This other guy, whose name I don't even know (and am not going to bother looking up) who appears to be older, whiter, and looking to the right is.

How do you feel about my hermaphroditic (she/her) lizardfolk warlock, Stalaxia?

(One also might make the argument that the two-party system and the monodimensional left-right approach to politics that it engenders is inherently polarizing and destabilizing, and is an inevitable result of running a first-draft democracy for longer than it should have gone without a v2.0.)

One might make the argument that the fundamental drives that impel someone towards progressivism, centrism, conservativism or maga-ism also incline one towards different strategies and interpersonal relationship types, and that some strategy types are better for the American system than others.

Also, what happened to that shy millionaire fella? He seemed nice.

I maintain that Bond should have died with the Queen. He was always her spy, having him kill people for King Charles kinda sucks, actually.

The weird thing is.... I've had power fantasies. I dream, at times, of cowing others to my will. We all have, it's human nature to fantasize about such things.
I've never wanted *this*. Who wants *this*?

I appreciate the concession.

Maybe "achieve positive change by playing chicken with psychopaths over which side is willing to let people suffer for longer" was a bad system from the word go.
