I don't ever buy from Starbucks anyway, it's too expensive, and I was aware of their poor business practices concerning employees, so I would have avoided it even if I did have the money or interest.
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

I don't ever buy from Starbucks anyway, it's too expensive, and I was aware of their poor business practices concerning employees, so I would have avoided it even if I did have the money or interest.
The first novel focuses on Darren and Hannah. Set in a world of corrupt wizards, reflecting social hierarchy. The second ison Zeta, set mostly in a global virtual reality, reflecting on corporate greed. The third features Neri set in a distiopian nightmare, addressing ecological disaster.

Finished the latest draft for book 2. Needs another pass through to trim the extras. Now onto book 3 which is going to be interesting with a unique approach to structure and storytelling. It will feel like this gradually suffocating feeling of being trapped and up against a clock counting down.
When I wrote the novel, Tapestry of the Second Born, it was meant as a warning... Not a blueprint on how to destroy the world... Guess I should have been more specific to the global leaders... 😐

I get it. I suppose. An early draft dedicated ten pages per antagonist to reveal just how vile they were. Each based off a real world billionaire who is exploiting millions for their own narcissistic greed. It became exhausting... I am glad I am cutting 30+ pages down, maybe even cut it completely.

I love this stage if editing. When I am meticulously going through each page editing out small bits and pieces here and there to get a refined story, cutting away the unnecessary stuff, adding strength when needed. I am currently on page 263 and still need to cut another 38 pages. It's so much fun!

I used the name Xennial for a species of advanced humans that are responsible for a Dyson Sphere, creating a quantum singularity, nearly destroying our reality, and has ties to Lexia's mother on the Sunfire Chronicles. ☺️

On page 250 and still have 56 pages or so to cut. Going to remove the gratuitous scenes involving the three central antagonists that reveals their dark desires to showcase how vile they are but I think it detracts from the story. I am enjoying the interplay of personalities among the protagonists.

Have you lost a significant amount of work due to a computer or human error? I swore I saved my work yesterday. This morning the progress is gone. I have to start over, retracing my steps in fixing 20 pages worth of work. I got to tell myself that I can do it better this time, that why it happened.
