There’s a non 0% possibility that all this is happening because gasoline contained lead until the 1970s.
It’s not an excuse for anyone’s behavior but the thought haunts me. All because adding lead improved engine efficiency and stopped knocking.

I feel for this person. My family lost our home to a fire two weeks before Christmas when I was in the second grade. I remember that night clearly and we were lucky to survive. But we need to understand that individualism is a myth. There’s no way of paying our way out of the climate crisis.
