Top trending pre-orders on board games last week for GTS. I don’t know if it’s worth posting these but thought some people not normally looking at a Distributor website might appreciate the insight.

Here’s what board games stores are pre-ordering in the highest quantities over the last 2 weeks….or as we call it: “Trending.” Often a nice sneak peek of future hits.

It’s a small thing but a “Notify on Restock” button I’ve been working on for months went live on our website for retailers yesterday. So now if there’s a game retailers are after they can get a direct email notification when it’s back in stock.

For example at the bottom of our website is a list of the top 5 trending board games for pre-orders. When you are buying for a store, board games are the hardest to keep up with (compared to TCGs) so this is intended to help stores not miss anything hot coming up in the future.

Can we just talk about how cool those dial trackers are for the upcoming game Rock Hard from Devir Games?

Played a prototype of Purple Haze by Phalanx Games at Spiel set during the Vietnam Conflict. Lots of narrative in the game. I'm sure for some people it will be "just story" but as the son of a vet, every beat had a different sort of weight.

PAX West's new table top gaming area is so nice. However it feels like video game publishers were lacking. I wonder if West just needs to focus on board gaming for the future.

I don't think it's going to blow up sales charts, but I could see Unboxed becoming very popular in the game design community. 10 games, no rules, examining the components reveals the rules like a puzzle. Instant lessons on intuitive game design.
