In honor of #socktober, here’s the closest thing I’ve done to a sock. My then-almost-2-year-old was obsessed with ducks at the time. The white yarn was from my stash and in retrospect too thick-thin for colorwork, but I still think it turned out pretty cute. 🦆

“What makes the Market for Lemons concept so appealing is that everyone can be acting reasonably, pursuing their own interests, and things still get worse for everyone.”

@frankchimero.com putting into words feelings I’ve had about the internet and VC ecosystem.

In 2007 I saw Hot Fuzz in the theaters and it took my mind off a rough breakup. Since then it’s been my comfort watch in troubled times. Definitely watched the Daily Show and then busted it out tonight. By now @numi.st and I can quote half of it by heart. Thanks @edgarwright.bsky.social

I saw this pattern and pounced at the chance to use a skein of variegated yarn I’ve had kicking around for years. It’s the Luminos Tee, a fun knit and clever construction.

I took some nail-biting liberties to get it to work in sport weight, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how well it fits haha.

It can be intimidating to make something and then send it off to the void to hope other people like it, so it was so heartening to see so many lovely responses to my app. Thank you everyone ❤️💜

Throwback to the one time I published a (free) pattern. It gave me a whole new respect for the art of good pattern writing -- and gave me Science Olympiad "Write It Do It" flashbacks 😂 www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...
Changing Seasons Baby Blanket pattern by Tanya Breshears
When I was pregnant with my now-two-year-old daughter, I scoured the internet for baby blanket patterns. I love the texture and flow of lacework, but also wanted to incorporate color changes in a way ...

I was skeptical the TV adaptation could capture the spirit of the books, but I'm amped about Murderbot so far. I even roped @numi.st into watching it 🥳
