The head of the U.S. Agency for Global Media is now claiming that the 2014 popular uprising that ousted the corrupt and increasingly autocratic Yanukovych regime, which involved millions of Ukrainians, was actually the work of one U.S senator and that that was what provoked the Russian invasion.

Given how Senators Schumer, Schiff, Markey, Cantwell, and some other Democratic leaders supported Bush's invasion of Iraq because of supposed "weapons of mass destruction" rather than admitting it was about oil, it raises the worrisome possibility they will support a Trump war on Venezuela as well.

In return for antiwar students dismantling an encampment, Northwestern University agreed to provide funding for at-risk Palestinian students and reestablish an Advisory Committee on Investment Responsibility. Northwestern's rightwing administration has now unilaterally revoked the agreement.

Just prior to Mayor Mamdani’s visit to Washington, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution which “denounces the horror of socialism in all its forms, and opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States of America.” Jeffries and 85 other Democrats voted in favor.

The United Nations General Assembly just voted to condemn torture. The United States was one of only three countries that voted against it.
