When I appreciate these plants, I keep a piece of him alive in me. The care I try to take helps me keep his spirit going. To man who grew Saintpaulia in his closet in the 60s with expensive grow lights.

They are both cooking with #springtails before full planting. The Zelda inspired one has Florida orange springtails (Neanura growae)

There are errors that I will need to fix in the layout phase. I’ve created all the elements I need and will do the final layout in Affinity3. I’ve learned to embrace a more iterative approach to my work rather than trying to rush to do the whole thing in one go. It’s been great :)

Ended up cooling them down a bit with a grey and grey/green mix and they look much better! Just gotta let the paint dry before weathering. Gonna do a lighter green mid tone and a highlight coat

I donated a kit to my wife’s work for a charity auction and it’s hit the retail price already! She works in a nature heavy organization so I’m hoping to drive some terrarium party bookings through that.

This is part of refocusing my attention towards my #artbusiness to support my star product: the terrarium kits. I sat down to take a long hard look at what I was doing, my short/long term goals and how I was serving them. Surprisingly I was just floundering. The refocus has sharpened my focuses!
