I’ve bought a van. No it’s not so I can sleep in it. It’s so I can transport my reenactment kit to venues! Canvas tents, wooden furniture, iron fire pit and cauldrons, beeswax candle making kit, loom, etc etc!

From sheep to cloth! I cleaned, scoured and combed the fleece, spun it with distaff and spindle then wove it on a medieval style upright loom to make about 2 yards of cloth. It’s lovely and soft!

Heartbreaking decision today to say goodbye to our gorgeous old girl. We only adopted her when she was 14 (nearly 3 years ago) but she was so affectionate that we loved her dearly. I’m really sad tonight.

Found this bizarre thing when clearing my parents attic. The feet are incredibly heavy and I suspect are made of lead. What on Earth is it??!

My project to reupholster and spruce up this lovely Glastonbury chair so my son can use it for medieval reenactment. I’ve never done anything like that before and I’m quite pleased with how it came out.
