Somewhere in American history, capitalism morphed from the United States' predominant economic model to a state religion. Capitalism is falsely equated with free market economics, work ethic, and personal initiative.

Economic models are neither good nor evil; people's use of them determines that.

Correction: The input clip is just over 64000 frames, not 16000.

Playing back my test render, Blender had managed a spectacularly robust reconstruction of the overall scene. I will use transform keyframes to zoom and pan over the stabilized image, as if the original was tighter shots. This raw render (at 8X speed and low res) shows the stabilizing adjustment.

The scene shifted so much I expected a *massive* amount of hand-stitching to make it into anything coherent, even after Blender's stabilizer was done. Here's an example of just how far astray I had to go with the camera. The centermost marker is "Track.DoorHair.1", by the way. Fun times!

Note the names of some of the tracking markers. That shows how desperate I was to find *anything* to track, even for a few seconds at a time. "Track.DoorHair.1", for instance, is the point where a woman's light-colored hair occludes one edge of a dark doorway.

Blender can stabilize video quite well with 2 or 3 tracked objects. This huge list of markers is because that's how many are needed to have at least one visible in...most...of the footage. It took me 4 hours to step through the clip a few seconds at a time, occasionally 20 seconds if I got lucky.

I am *astonished* at what I have just accomplished with Blender's object tracking and video stabilization features (screenshots to follow). The input clip is over 16000 frames, and I kept getting bumped and jostled. The speaker had promised to wander far less than he did.

My first Blender video project is a 2+ hour event I recorded for a nonprofit org, using 1 fixed cam, 1 semi-fixed cam, and my mobile phone as handheld. I had 2 days' notice of the event, and I'm not a professional videographer. So the raw video is far from ideal, and there's no shared timecode.

I subscribe to the Canton Repository and can read the full article. I won't violate copyright by pasting the text, but a summary: The female protester was seated when struck by a white pickup truck and was conscious when transported to hospital by EMS. Witnesses say the driver acted deliberately.

The Canton Repository has an article on this incident: www.cantonrep.com/story/news/a...

The witness who is quoted as being sure the act was deliberate is an acquaintance of mine, and I will vouch for her character. She is not someone given to exaggeration or sensationalism.

Crap. So much for deporting the Tangerine Turd as far from here as possible on Earth.

Ah, well, there's always the asteroid belt. That's probably a safer distance, anyway.

I am so grateful to people from other countries who stand in solidarity with us, partly because it gives me hope that we can re-earn the trust of the world after we flush this corrupt -- and temporary -- government down its own golden toilet. It will (and should) take time, but there is hope.

One woman in an expensive sports car looked directly at me as she drove slowly past, flipping me the bird the whole way. I regret that I was too slow-reflexed to blow her a kiss; I only smiled and waved.
