Fossil fuels (AIUI) came from undigestible lignin that got sequestered before lignin-eating microbes evolved and could get to it.

If some descendant of those microbes then evolved the ability to eat the hydrocarbons we hauled up from the depths, I think that would be hilarious.

Makes me wonder if the same microbe will like the taste of petroleum we've concentrated in various tanks around the world.

My world is still adjusting to the knowledge that Hugh Dillon was in band(s) before acting! :) The wiki mentioned punk in its description so I'm going with it until I listen to more.

The wiki articles for Hugh and Headstones are so dang Canadian.

Let it be known that I also wish her a great deal of harm.

Oh my goodness I was not prepared to see Hugh Dillon fronting a punk band singing that song on a Monday morning.

Seems to work OK. It's very Japanese. Almost like if a Radio Shack Model 100 laptop had an oscilloscope cousin.

I was living up in Virginia at the time and that storm messed up the Range pretty good. I didn't realize Duluth didn't get hit as hard.

I wonder if the SCA still has the "place orbiter here, black side down" written on the aft attach points.

The small ones in the center of the board were the worst. I had to desolder all the op-amps and comparators to fully reconstruct the area. Then I realized they were part of the modem I would never ever use.

The corrosion makes the soldermask and silkscreen flake off which can complicate re-assembly

In addition to the electrolytics, there's a NiCd battery that can cause corrosion (it's already removed in the photo above).

You can buy kits of replacement caps. I went through my 100 and had a beast of a time because the electrolyte had eaten some traces and even nearby component legs.

I'm in the bathtub. I'm in the tidal pool. I'm in the combination bathtub and tidal pool.
