Just walked down the Liverpool-Leeds Canal to pass the time till my train. Felt like a bit of a plonker when I ended up at Project House again. Time for the trek back!

The new Seaspray figure from the Retro line arrived - first impressions are that I’m a big fan, but gobsmacked at how much taller he is, even if that’s the way mini-vehicles have gone in recent years. Time to give the transformation a go!

Beat Quake II! Had a cracking time with it, even if the final level was a bit forgettable. Lots of fun finding the secrets in this one, although I think the original is a bit more memorable level-wise.

Beat Quake. Again. This time on hard mode, which despite the name I got through surprisingly fast. It was also a lot more fun compared to the normal skill, which I wasn't entirely expecting. Great game! Now onto the second one.

Today’s model car acquisition was this 1998 Corgi take on the Ford Escort MK I, in a rather Anglia-esque light blue. Also picked up Inspector Morse’s Jaguar in Bridlington yesterday!

I perhaps should’ve been more careful with G1 Crankcase’s mechanism, hence why ‘immediately broke it’ is x’d off 😬

Have begun the process of giving the Crankcase I picked up a bit of a refresh. He wasn’t too bad as is for £8, but the screws definitely need a once over. To the vinegar!

TFNation was genuinely quite life-affirming. Robots acquired, lots of people I know and admire engaged in conversation, and I won this glorious MASK-themed Beachcomber from the TMUK raffle. I’ll be back for more next year!

Mine didn’t come with anything besides the radar dish, but he was also £5, so there was no way I wasn’t having him. I definitely need the big missile viewscope thingy, but I know the gold gun wouldn’t last seconds in my clumsy mitts!

The (admittedly rather suspect looking) sweets from these sets only expired this month… this month 21 years ago. Don’t think I’ll be handing these out at TFN somehow.

These Thunderbirds kits need a surprising bit of TLC out the box -the paintwork is impeccable, but the fit on a lot of pieces is a little rough. Already snapped one of Thunderbird 2’s legs (fortunately was a quick repair job)

First out the big delivery this morning is this trio of vehicles from Captain Scarlet. All looking spot on besides some roundel stickers (very hard to place!) and the lack of antennae on the cars, which I’ll have to remedy myself
