Here's a short story(with all original typos) that I made in reply to a writing prompt a while back on #tumblr #writer #WriteSky #shortstory
A tumblr post by the blog 'writing-prompt-s' The afterlife is divided based on where you died. Those who died in Paris spend eternity in Paris. If you die on an ocean liner, you live on a liner. You are, to your knowledge, the first person to die on the moon. At least, you thought so, until you saw the hundreds of others on the moon. A reply to that tumblr post that reads: The others invited you to sit around the fireplace. It shouldn't have been able to burn on the surface of the moon, but you weren't too surprised. This was the afterlife after all. What you were surprised about was the crowd of people here. The hooded figure you met after death explained that everyone stays at the place of their death; but you know no one has died on the surface of the moon. Heck, the number of people here was greater than the total number of Astronauts that had existed up to now. Though before you could ask the figure about it, it had left. Continuation in the other picture Maybe the people here had an explanation. You asked a woman with a vintage aviatrix hat. Her eyes widened when she heard that you had actually died here, and that alive humanity had really reached the moon. When her excitement and questions had finally died down, you asked again why people were here on the moon if they hadn't died here. She let out a short giggle, "Gods're short sighted." When the system of letting people stay in their place of death was instated, the celestials would have never guessed that humanity would at some day take to the sky. And so they had no place for people that died high off the ground. To fix it, the grim reapers just put these people somewhere where humanity would never reach - the moon. "But I'm here," you said. "Yep," she answered. "Gods're short sighted."

Recently got my first actual comment on my story on #AO3, and I couldn't be happier. It's the first part of the #fantasynovel I started my writing journey with, and I had to come to terms that it'll never be at a level I strive to be at.

A weird #writing problem I have now:
For the story, there need to be certain features of the location.
So, I just invented a city. But now, halfway through the draft, I pivoted. Spy Thrillers are much better in real places. I found one, but it's not perfect, so I now have to change stuff #WriteSky

A snip from the last #novel I've self-published, with something I think other #writer s can relate to.

I won't say the name here (it's within the text anyway), since I've released it under another pseudonym and it contains scenes that don't completely agree with the content I want to make now.
So, what is this about?" Rima asked. I produced the envelope with the notice. "This." I handed it to Cate first, while I explained what it read. "You need to pay back a huge loan within two weeks, or New Salem Dormitory gets demolished." "What?" Rima said and took the notice from Cate's hand. "How much is the loan?" Vinny asked. Rima read, "[Hello there, here's the author. I do not know what would be an appropriate value to put here. I employ your suspension of disbelief to pretend that this is some number that makes the plot work.] $" Vinny widened her eyes. "What the fuck. Who do we owe this much money to?"
