Kneejerk answer is the Concordance Engine being used to make 616 the best variant of every character to help protect the Engine.
HOWEVER. I kind of miss the Black Vortex. Offering someone the "best future version" of themselves kind of cuts off their future potential if they take it now though....

I don't disagree. And I've only ever wanted it for one card in my ten decks. lol. I want it for the single card lolz, but not enough to want to campaign for it. I'm happy with as is.
