It was lovely to meet and have a chat with @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social during Leanne Mohamad's event last week in Ilford.

Our conversation left me feeling optimistic about the prospect of a left-wing coalition between the Independents and the Greens.

I also got to introduce my dad to JC!

A huge thank you to London Assembly Member @carolinerussell.bsky.social, who joined us as a guest speaker to listern to local residents, particularly the elderly, who have been negatively impacted by the changes to the “W” bus service.

United, we can bring positive change to our communities!

On a sweltering afternoon all these people turned up to share their stories about the impact of changes to local bus routes. I came home with pages of notes to distil and put to TfL.

Bus routes stitch communities together and changes in service interrupt people’s independence and daily routines.

Keir Starmer's 1,000 jobs pledge could take 20 years, GB Energy boss admits.

Can't say when the £300 promised customer saving will materialize.

Need industrial strategy.

Must boost the spending power of the bottom 50% for sustained economic growth.

Just to be clear: I won’t be having cosy chats with Nigel Farage — who named Enoch Powell his political hero, claimed he “would never say Powell was racist in any way” & allegedly marched through a Sussex village chanting Hitler Youth songs.

No thanks.

It will probably come as no surprise to anyone to hear that Elon Musk has now admitted that X (formerly Twitter) is throttling link-based posts, essentially stifling news articles on the social media platform. Thankfully we now have @bsky.app

Israel is plotting to colonise Gaza.

This is all being openly discussed in the Israeli media.

It is a damning indictment that Israeli newspapers offer more details of what's actually happening than newspapers in, say, the US or UK.

It’s been 24 hours & neither Keir Starmer nor David Lammy have commented on the ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant for war crimes & crimes against humanity.

Perhaps they could apply the same standards as the ones they outlined below:

The ICC arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu, Yoav Gallant and Mohammed Deif make clear that to continue selling arms to Israel is to aid and abet war crimes. It is utterly indefensible.

To those who helped facilitate Israel’s genocide - Western politicians, media outlets, and journalists:

We will not rest until you are held accountable for the crime you helped commit.

The UK government must decide: is it on the side of Israeli impunity or international law?
