Tinker. Taylor. Gomer. Fife. I’m not wearing pants. Avert your eyes, Helen Crump. He/him. Gay. Be who you are inside. Love the way you love. This is rebellion.
At least they tried.

Illegal use of a “C” if ever there was one. (Also, It’s Your Move was lowkey amazing for its day.)

It feels appropriate that my last ever K-pop purchase comes with a pair of special underpants. Yeah.

Saw an ad for a dating platform which opened with “If you’re a gay man over 40 who thinks his best chance for a romantic start is behind him…”

Me: [leans forward]

“…for men who know who they are and what they want…”

Me: Swing and a miss [kicks sand]

Finished it. The palace intrigue about assets transfers and kingdoms in revolt didn’t do much for me, but at its core, it’s an involving character drama centered on themes of fighting for love, fighting the world for acceptance, and forging your own life and love. Punishing at times, but I loved it.
This is the show. Thai series set in a fictional version of the ‘60s where a gay prince (guy in the front) is being forced to marry a nice princess but has fallen in love with her handsome, husky cousin (guy in the back).

TIRED: Watching a tense film scene where our heroes defuse a ticking time bomb

WIRED: Watching a tense gay romance TV drama scene where our heroes are racing to save a sensitive gay guy from an arranged hetero marriage

(Seriously, I just white-knuckled my way through the latter and I AM STRESSED)

I just started watching a gay romance series from Japan called PUNKS TRIANGLE, in which a fashion student who loves the punk scene ends up paired with his punk idol (who is in disguise) on a fashion project. The idol is the most attractive person I have ever seen. My jaw dropped. Gay shookedness.

Fun Fact: Diane Keaton directed an episode of Twin Peaks. Granted, it was the unfortunate post-Lynch S2 era in which James wandered off to that other town for that primetime soap storyline and Ben went crazy for the Civil War and Windom Earle was Windom Earle-ing with giant chess pieces and shit.

Another one of my “in retrospect, I was a baby gay” memories unlocked: When my family moved to a rural part of the county and we took to regular video rentals, Working Girl (1988) was one of my favorite movies. I think I was about ten years old.
The opening titles of WORKING GIRL (1988) still give me goosebumps 37 years later.

Mike Nichols' Staten Island Cinderella story is on TCM tonight at 12:45am ET, so grab a disco nap and watch.

I hasten to once again point out that George Clooney was at the scene of this crime.

As a society, we haven’t really reckoned with the unspoken truth that the Spencer’s Gifts era of The Facts of Life coincided with the arrival of George Clooney.

Last week, I watched the penultimate episode of a show and it devastated me so profoundly that I was wrecked for days.

So now I’m about to watch the finale of said show. Oh boy.
