@draustinmaths.com Thank you for generously sharing all your resources - your site was my first thought when students needed more practice on building up sketches of quadratics!

I’m kinda curious what happens as this number gets bigger. Will it start using standard form? A couple more emails today will get me to 5 digits

It's that time of year again - your annual reminder that if you're a Maths teacher and looking for suitable resources for your classes across KS3 to KS5 then do check out www.draustinmaths.com. The site is five years old this week 🎉🎉 and in that time it's amassed over 1000 resources! 1/3

I’ve got an oldish Macbook Air that won’t update to whatever random name MacOS has now. This would be fine except half the appa (including Office) have updated themselves just to be able to tell me they can no longer run! Why couldn’t they just stop updating after the last functioning version?! 😭

Is anyone else having issues with ActiveLearn textbooks today? We’re getting an error message about ‘account not being set up’

A bit more detail on my shake-up of Y12 Maths. We're going to begin with coordinates and lines. Surds will arise naturally from Pythagoras. Rationalising denoms (not quite so naturally) from gradients between two points. First taste of modelling and stats, too. Even vectors get a look-in

Just been reading about George E P Box - interesting back story from the Army in WWII to a career in statistics. Notable quotes: "All models are wrong, but some are useful" and "Statisticians, like artists, have the bad habit of falling in love with their models." 😄

These look like a great resource for A level maths:
www.alphaworkbooks.co.uk
They are closing down, so his books are currently free to download from his website until the website closes. #Alevelmaths

I'm new in town, so hopefully can rebuild my A level Maths network here. I might do a series of posts about my plans for reorganising our Y12 scheme of work... Step 1: post-its! I'd love to hear if anyone has made interesting choices in their sequencing of topics
