I'm currently running a series of one-shots for the same group/characters but it's currently not a campaign. The idea was to run a set of one-shots where people could drop in and out of the session if and when needed, but I've noticed myself coming up on the same issues with each session.

The biggest mistake I made recently when running a one-shot was I took away agency from my players. This wasn't done in a style of railroading it was done differently. it took analysing where I went wrong to figure out what I'd done. Here's a thread,
