The end of the filibuster for appropriations actually would have been a very good result. The GOP would finally take full responsibility for their own governance and the racist on American society that is the filibuster would be gone.

I like the fintwitter bot account because I'm never going to follow a bunch of individual finance and economic news accounts and want to get a very streamlined econ news feed for that, but yeah, when it screws up the meaning of a headline it REALLY screws up.

The Craig ones were nice for a lot of reasons but one thing I really like is that it's an arc but casino royale and Skyfall both can work as standalone films and are among the best bond films overall.

I never imagined during any Bond movie pre-craig that that James Bond had experienced any of the exact stuff in any previous movie even when it was the same actor or had recurring side characters.

Other than having some recurring side characters none of the pre-craig movies ever have direct references to the events of any other films do they? The characters behave as if they have long running relationships but never talk about, for example, Goldfinger.

Weren't they very clear that the next James Bond is going to be significantly younger than Daniel Craig and that the Craig movies would be a standalone unit the way every other Bond movie before them could stand alone without any of the others?

I'm sort of interested to see what happens if he threatens all doctors and hospitals with criminal charges and arrest if they don't cut prices for everything by 95 percent.

I don't understand how Angus King's statement isn't just an endorsement of every GOP elected official. He's telling us that every republican is just better than he and his Dem colleagues are and they can never lose.

They won't. There is no reason to vote for Dem Senators in 2026 unless we see mass resignations before then. Vote blue no matter who was already dead thanks to Schumer's Mamdani bullshit but now it's important that voters boycott current Dem senators.

The fact that Mills is even lightly connected to Schumer and this wing of the party makes her completely unacceptable as a Dem candidate. I'd rather have Platner regardless of all his recent past bullshit simply because he hates Schumer.
