Got to hang out with legendary herp and primate researcher Russ Mittermeier. Showed him around one of my mud turtle sites and got the target species plus a couple more. He gifted me a few books and even signed his Lemurs of Madagascar book for me!

www.iucnredlist.org/species/1634... might seem a little trivial with all the crazy happenings, but I was able to help assess and write an IUCN redlist assessment up for Striped Mud turtles two years ago, and it just came out. Fortunately/Unfortunately we elevated their status to near threatened.
