Scoop: The DOGE website that Elon Musk spun up to track cuts to the federal government is insecure and pulls from a database that can be edited by anyone. So, someone did.

Stumbled upon this JFK soundbite in a Will Schoder video that suddenly feels apropos for what's happening in Washington right now.

Today in 1971 — a ban on cigarette commercials went into effect on American TV.

ABC News marked the occasion with a montage of vintage cigarette ads.

Rickey Henderson altered the course of the 1993 World Series (greatly disappointing 14-yr-old me) with this clutch 2-out, 2-run hit in the now-infamous 6-run 8th inning in Gm4. He would come around to score the eventual winning run.

Rick Hunter’s 80s catchphrase “Works for me” was designed to capture the TV cop’s laid-back confident style. But as we discuss on the pod this week, this type of police representation was likely a source of concern for anyone who wasn’t a straight white male.
