✔️5) Imbalances in gut bacteria and increased inflammation may contribute to the physical and mental health problems experienced by COVID-19.
✔️6) This highlights the potential of altering the gut microbiome to improve recovery and reduce neurological complications of COVID-19.

✔️4) higher levels of inflammatory markers, such as IL-6, were linked to more severe COVID-19. This suggests that the inflammatory response of the community system plays a role in the development of symptoms.

✔️3) The severity of COVID-19 was related to changes in the gut microbiome. Patients with more severe diseases had lower diversity and richness of gut bacteria. Mitsuokella jalaludinii were associated with physical symptoms, stress, anxiety, and depression.

🔔Key findings that validate other studies and provide new data:
✔️1) COVID-19 patients show altered immune responses and neuropsychiatric symptoms. SEVERITY correlates with changes in the GUT MICROBIOME, systemic inflammation, and mental health problems.

👩🏻‍🔬We discovered associations of the gut microbiota with neuropsychiatric problems 🧠 in 124 COVID-19 patients, which opens the door to finding new treatments.
