I challenged my students to dress up for extra credit, and I lead by example. (Also I love collecting the expressions from students as I march across campus. Some smile. Some whisper. Some--the few also in costume--make eye contact and nod knowingly.)

National Black Cat Day! Tinycat & Murdercat share the cat-tree, a momentous occasion, b/c no one is hissing, biting, or fear-peeing because she's been pounced on by someone 2x her weight. (The very next moment, she started clawing the tree, and lo, those things came to pass, as foretold.)

(I turned out to be immune to rubella, but not the other two, so I very quickly rectified that situation.

PSA, y'all: if you're over a certain age, maybe get your MMR antibodies titered. Yours truly is still immune to rubella, but not measles or mumps (!). Time for a booster, please and thank you, while vaccines are still readily available.

There IS a cat under all that fur. We have proof!

Murdercat doesn't seem to mind. It's hot. He has new ventilation. *I* mind b/c of what the ultrasound found. He takes his pills well, though, so one day at a time, until there are no more.

It's #Caturday and also 20-odd degrees hotter than normal and the Patchwork Terror hasn't put away his spring coat yet.

This little gremlin is 17. She was just shy of 2lbs when we brought her home. At her heaviest, before the stomatitis, she was a scant 8. Now she's little-old-lady-cat, just over 6lbs. Louhi Philomena Hepzibah Rue.
