Hey, I got one of those! Bought it at a flea market in the mid-70’s for a couple of bucks. I must have been about 9 years old.

More SDCC Loot. This is the last issue I was missing to complete my Sub-Mariner Vol. 2 series. This one features the first team up of Namor, Hulk and the Silver Surfer, a precursor to the Defenders.

I finally grabbed the last few issues of What If? Vol 1 I was missing. Several of them include incredible Bill Sienkiewicz covers like this beauty.

Here’s the cake I baked today. The top is a broiled brown sugar coconut and pecan spread. Crunchy and sweet.

Tonight’s feature film was Major League (1989), one of the greatest baseball movies. I figured that Lynch was getting plenty of love tonight so we honored Bob Eucker. RIP.

My wife and I recently made our way through this boxset of 4 French films made during the occupation by Claude Autant-Lara whom I hadn’t heard of. The films are sweet and marvelously directed and acted. Douce (1943) was the sumptuous standout full of gorgeous photography and melodrama. Superb. #film

I've become interested in Japanese historical ghost story films lately and picked up this @filmsradiance.bsky.social gothic box set. All three films were excellent, atmospheric and creepy. I thought The Snow Woman (1968) was particularly good. Another fantastic Radiance Films boxet #filmsky #movies

The Big Burn #OnTheNightstand tonight. @dstlry.bsky.social is knocking it out of the park with this one. The premise of criminals who have sold their souls to the Devil trying to break into hell to steal them back in the ultimate heist is genius. Can’t wait for the finale. #comics
