tl;dr (but actually go read it anyway);

Born 1957-1967? You might have gotten a weak shot.
Born 1967-1989? You might have gotten one shot, not enough.

In either case, the options are
1) look up your vaccination records,
2) get a measles titer measurement; or...
3) just get a booster! (I did that.)
This is a clear and useful explanation of who might need a measles vaccine booster & why. A must-read for people born in the U.S. between 1957 and 1989 🧪 slate.com/technology/2... on @slate.bsky.social
Uh … Am I Protected Against Measles? It Might Depend On When You Were Born.

The Uber that picked my dog and myself from the vet yesterday was a Tesla. I never rooted for her peeing in an inappropriate place stronger than I did in that ride.

Back in the Bush administration I got trained to be a draft counselor. I went to youth groups and spiritual communities , gave a talk, answered questions and gave advice.

If there are folks in the USA who want to talk about this I am here.

Started the morning listening to podcast interview of former employee of the CIA who says it's basically insane to plan to live in the USA past 2030. So now I really want cookies.

The American Medical Association is urging the public to get vaccinated against the measles:

"Measles is extremely contagious and can cause life-threatening illness. There is no cure or specific antiviral treatment for measles. Vaccination remains the best defense against measles infection."
