I knew Siamese and Burmese were both alleles of TYR, but I didn't know they were this well-documented. Our cats are all mutts, from two different litters, but all three colorpoints (the above Burmese-style boy and two Lynx points).

Currently resisting with all I've got the urge to sequence them. 😁

She hasn't even gotten a good head of steam going yet.

Cool. My fed worker wife has been working for an IOU for the past 40 days, and we were making it work because the fight was worth having.

Thanks for making all of our stress pointless, Senator.

Are the fighting Democrats in the room with us right now?

I'm just going to keep sending Kaine and Warner this photo over and over for the next 40 days.

I sent emails to both of them since no one is answering their phones right now. Would a voicemail to Warner be better? Kaine's line didn't give that option.

TO BE CLEAR:
This does NOT mean I want the Dems to cave on the ACA!

Make all of this stupidity worth it, Senate.

Some of her recipes are excellent. I make her biscuit and cornbread dressing recipe every year for Thanksgiving.

One big lesson from Franklin is that the Nobel Prize is absolutely antiquated and should not be viewed as The Stamp of Approval for Scientific Enterprise.

a) It's awarded years after discoveries, but you can't be dead yet.

b) It's for max three people. Science just isn't done in silos anymore.

We've seen what kind of rapport this dude has with animals. They've had his number going waaaay back.

Honestly pleasantly surprised to see Dr. Oz go into actual doctor mode here?

The bar is on the ground, but kudos for clearing it, sir.

First, the weirdest population of one of my study species grows in Bronx park, so you never know!

Second, I’m SURE the rush of petulant children making good on their threats to flee NYC will leave lots of vacant land that could be converted for agriculture.

Staten Island Prairie, anyone?
