I spoke to TIME about our experience on the ground here in DC. For those outside of the heart of the city, we are not OK. Just 15-20 minutes across town, it feels like I’ve left the country, things are so peaceful. But where there’s density of Black and immigrant residents, there are regular patrols, check points and ICE abductions. Demand action from your Members of Congress and donate to local efforts. They won’t stop at DC and LA. Know this.

A not-yet-delivered gift for a recent HS graduate :-)

The graduate is insanely creative and talented; she sews, makes quilts, & draws. She is a super fan of pink (as am I).

The canvas is 10" square, so the quilted bit is a teensy bit smaller.

A paint canvas painted blue and pink with a hand quilted and pieced block tacked on with blue beads. The quilt block is Courthouse Steps in blue and pink and the words do good don't do bad, using Ruby Star Society letters, is machine sewn onto the block. Hand quilting is done in the big stitch style in several pinks and blues.
