This reminded me that we used to get sent on Kartoffelkäfer (lit. potato bug) patrol in my nan's garden when we were little. They must be collected and killed, or they'd be back year after year. I hate them still.

One of the many advantages of living alone is that I can pause the tv whenever I want, in order to fully appreciate Henry Cavill's craft and commitment to the role.

Travelling with mum, day 4. A day of contrasts: first, Arromanches, Pointe du Hoc and Omaha Beach, then Mont St Michel. I saw and learned a lot today but my favourite were these odd flowers. 🤔

A thing I learned is how Calvados is made, and how wasteful the process - that is they waste a bunch of lovely cidre to make the schnapps. Doesn't seem right.
