Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Alberta: the start of the hike Forty-six years ago, the year we were married, my husband, Gary, and I visited the Canadian Rockies. One of our favorite hikes took us from the famous Lake Louise to the Lake Agnes Tea House, a rustic little building about 3.5 miles uphill from Lake Louise. Now we were finally revisiting the area and looked forward to making the hike and having a sandwich and tea at the Tea House.
