The giant Wildscape DONE! It comes in at 44” wide by 34” tall. See the entire Wildscape and learn all the stats (like how many French knots there are) by watching the short video on my channel.

In progress. Today is all about the rocks. Trying to decide if I want to add small rock piles or not. It's all about balance.

Lots of other things still pinned in and a lot more. Still waiting to be attached.

So far 716 individual components in 98 rocks.

Making progress. I'm finally to the part of stitching on the many many components to fill in all the empty spaces. It measures about 46 in wide by about 32 in tall.

Current working title is:
The Breath of Someplace Wild.

I am honored to have this piece of art, Echoes from the Earth, accepted into the Fantastic Fibers show at the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

I confess I did a little squeal and a happy dance.

Every project is different but one thing stays the same for me. The doubt I feel that I’ll be able to bring what I see in my head to life.

I wrote about it in a recent newsletter, the doubt, and the decision I made on how to continue. Read it and see pictures of my WIP

Sharing a link to this older five minute video about my Wildscapes because it made me happy to watch it again today.

Maybe it will make you happy too.

It's almost time to start piecing the giant Wildscape together. Pinning everything up today to see what I need more of. There are still five hoops sitting in the other room half done, and of course the water, but I am starting to see it come together.

When my art reaches through the screen & touches someone & they fall enough in love with it that they make a long drive to see it in person & then decide to take it home, well I am humbled as well as joyful. Putting my art into the hands of the right collector is priceless.

Huge wildscape in progress. Color blocked out with their approx size. The rest of the French knots for the greens are all on hoops and in progress. The blue water is going to take a while.

When sketch isn't your go-to for planning, you have to get creative. I grabbed colors that called to me and played until I got something roughly that felt good.

Color blocking is done. Now to break it into chunks so I can use a hoop and floor stand (love working with both hands free).

What if a piece of art could connect us to the energy of the earth?
