Since I started reporting on education, I've puzzled over why the official version of how things work at the TDSB is often at odds with the experiences I hear from families. Nowhere is this gap more apparent than in special education. This story is an attempt to get at why.

Pleased to hear Canadian Supreme Court will hear case challenging Quebec's racist Bill 21. I added this button & tulle to local elementary school's fence when a teacher was removed from her job because she wore a hijab. Secular govt is good but employees must be allowed to identify with their faith.
