Birth registration helped break through a brick wall in my research. I have found Ann's surname spelled with variations. Marriage was Co Limerick, but it is unknown if Ann was from there or Glasgow, where Edward lived. No records found for Ann in either place.

The notebook sweet spot is so small.
Like the chances of finding one that's nice enough to buy but not too nice to ruin by writing in it are basically zero. Madness. This world is absolute madness.

The 1886 baptism of my grandfather, Robert Joseph Riddle, in Quebec. His mother, Maggie Thorburn, signed the register with such flourish.
