Life time of living in BC has given me an appreciation for the absurd in politics and real life. Play bridge quite badly. Used to write. Love train travel. Happily married 40 years to man who does not play bridge and hates trains. I don't donate.
I'd be horrified if Christy Clark was given the keys again.

If I was a cow capable of rational thought and discrimination, I'd probably want to be around vegans and those of the Hindu faith.
Cows have followed me. I don't think it's because I'm white. I've also seen them follow ducks.
Maybe cows are not bright.

I think it's training. Relative is a truck driver and he's stopped many times to help newbies who haven't even been shown how to put chains on. There needs to be higher standards, imo, because the training isn't cheap. Also think there are some schools that prey on newcomers, but no proof.

My kids had a kind of Calvin and Hobbes childhood.

Maybe they should hire him.

Who did it? Was it a bunch of guys in a shed with spray paint?
Real artisans take time (and have taste)
To quote Bugs Bunny, the fun you can have with a can of gold paint and some old rocks.

The grandmas who said to eat roughage were right.
November 13, 2025 at 5:32 PM
Exactly. Tarrifying is just one of the annoyances.

Don't piss off people who like to travel and have disposable income.
November 13, 2025 at 5:28 PM
What was wrong with the children to let that happen?
November 13, 2025 at 4:22 PM
Will definitely try. Thanks. Never know what I'm going to find out on here. I really like vegetable pave, which is layers of sliced vegetables and cream etc, baked in a springform pan, but idea of using for quiche is new. It would be quite pretty.

So, did you just mash potatoes and squish them into the pie plate and then put the quiche mixture on top? Or did you mix them with something? I might try it. I make pastry quite often, but it seems like too much trouble when I'm thinking about making dinner.

Are these whites bringing the cows food?
November 13, 2025 at 3:22 PM
Did it work? It sounds like a good idea.
November 13, 2025 at 3:21 PM
I don't often eat quiche. Spinach and feta?
November 13, 2025 at 3:21 PM
If it fails you'll have mashed potatoes and eggs and ham.
(sorry)

Well, it is Kelowna.

Trooper. Not sure how serious I am, but their songs have stuck. We're here for a Good Time, Raise a Little Hell, Boys in a Bright White Sports Car.
I was a teen in age of fast cars and drunk driving and went to too many funerals. Some of their songs hit me in the feels.

I think they might have been the last generation of free range kids. There were a lot of kids in our neighbourhood. I'm pretty sure teenagers were involved in setting up the bobsled type run. I think back with horror, but they never got hurt.

My kids (now 38 and 40) used to disappear for hours with their GT Racer snow sleds. Husband went with them one day, and came back. "do you realize your children are going on a km long bobsled run?"
Why, no. No I did not. Some things are better not to know about.

He couldn't manage Alberta. How would he manage Canada?
Maybe there's a group of slightly right of centre backroom boys and girls planning a new party that mushy middle can vote for when we decide the Libs have been in power long enough. I hope so.
