Made it until 11am before anyone in the office mentioned the horse race. I had thought about it on the weekend but clean forgotten it was today. I love that my work no longer even acknowledges it. nup to the cup!

Today in white collar office fun and games: You’re telling me a business owner with the company name COMPLETE ALPHA MALE COACHING PTY LTD* is difficult to deal with?? Shocking.

Today in corporate fuckery: as predicted, leadership team’s response to poor employee engagement in the annual EOS survey, particularly in the actual leadership space, was not “how can we fix this?” but “WE (ie. us plebs) need to fix this”. 🙄

Today’s episode of What Grinds My Gears: men who install their wives as director and 100% shareholders of their 2-bit companies then tell everyone it’s theirs. I cannot stress enough: DO NOT ever let anyone do this to you if you’re not involved in the business.

My coworker’s new favourite swear is “dickhole” and honestly it’s bringing me such joy because it’s FUNNY every single time.

I have now spent $80 on the movie Jurassic World: Rebirth. $20 to see it at the cinema, $30 when my in-laws rented it on my Prime account two weeks ago, and another $30 tonight when my hubby decided to rent it also on my Prime account.

Just saw a man in a tweed suit and a matching flat cap, a very unusual sight in Brisbane. Very Peaky Blinders.

Anyone who has been to previous performances of Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, what’s the seating like? I know it’s outdoor but do they have actual seats? Benches? Stools?

My goodness it’s so nice to have some happy endings to potentially sad news stories the last few days. First the missing surfer found on an offshore island, then the missing backpacker found after 12 days in the WA bush.
Amazing.
