Anyone have some crafty evenings free? Winter is my favorite time for projects ❤️ this might feel too small to matter, not as important as heat, or cheesy, but for the people who choose to take one I promise it means so much.
We have a weird ask... Would you consider making friendship bracelets for our unhoused neighbors? Or maybe you have kids who love to make bracelets (I do)... We want to start giving out bracelets on Fridays at showers and would love community support. Everything is just really hard right now and especially for the people we serve, and friendship bracelets are a tangible reminder that they matter and they are loved.

This camp is being violently evicted right now in the wake of a devastating shooting. People are mourning community members and simultaneously having their homes bulldozed. If you have t shirts, drinks, aspirin, new underwear, or cigarettes please bring to 1100 E Lake between 3-7 for distro!

Please consider spending some time today handing out waters, or helping us do it! Heat stroke and dehydration are incredibly dangerous on their own, but they can also make pre existing conditions worse. Handing someone a cold bottle of water could be saving their life on days like this.

If you are out making your voice heard en masse, remember that "masse" means it doesn't matter that it's you, specifically. Protect everyone by making yourself indistinguishable from your comrades, don't bring your phone, and write your emergency contact numbers on your skin. We take care of us.
