Platinum Trophy #91, Castlevania Advance Collection. Finally got around to clearing the trophies I had left. One great game, one game I hated, and one masterpiece, in that order. I’m grateful we got this collection and it’s an outstanding port with a trophy list too. Keen for the DS collection next!

Have had the incredible pleasure of watching two very British and nostalgic films in the past week, the first being the latest Wallace and Gromit film, and Paddington in Peru.

Platinum Trophy #90, Persona 5 Royal. It may have taken over 4.5 years and 120 hours but Tia and I finally finished P5R. Of course, this is because we felt no rush since we’d already played vanilla P5, but it’s kinda hilarious looking at the 6-12 month gaps between each palace’s trophy.

I travelled for my sisters wedding last weekend. Nothing makes me feel more alienated than a massive social gathering of family members, but putting my own issues aside, I’m happy I could be there. Weather was lovely all weekend so I wasn’t about to miss out on a good beach day on the way back home.

Went to Miku Expo earlier in the week. I had zero expectations but it turned out to be a pretty good time. It wouldn’t compare to the bigger budget Miku concerts but I still had fun. Good balance between new and old in the setlist. I gotta say I felt like one of the oldest people there lmao.

Yesterday I hit the 20 hour mark in Unicorn Overlord. As expected I’m loving the experience, especially as it grows deeper and more complex. Also I can’t describe how quickly I fell for the dead-looking yandere plague doctor gf

Went and saw Look Back last night. I didn’t have any expectations going in but I got a surprising amount out of it. I don’t quite herald it as a masterpiece, but I can totally understand why others would be profoundly impacted. Definitely worth a watch, especially with the short runtime.

Platinum trophy #89, Astro Bot. I had very high expectations for this game based on Astro’s Rescue Mission and Playroom and this exceeded them in every way. Easily one of my favourite 3D platformers for its intelligence, creativity, polish, charm, and the loving homage to all things PlayStation.

I bought a bunch of PS1 memory cards from buyee since I’m running out of space on mine (Tokimeki Memorial will do that to you), and it’s so fun to go through old save data. This guy had some decked out FF saves so I loaded them up. There was also some Resi Evil 1/2/3, GT2 and Tekken 3 data.

Recently beat my first playthrough of Tokimeki Memorial 2. I was blown away. This enormous, five-disc masterpiece somehow improves and expands on the first in almost every way. I loved Sakura and Shirayuki and want to do playthroughs for both of them, but Hikari is the one whole stole my heart❤️
