Feel like I'm learning? At a steady pace, also now that I know what code looks like they really were roasting yandere dev for 10+ years and with good reason

built a very simple calculator from scratch

apparently chapter 5 of this book is considered past the basics, which explains why I comprehend things but don't have the execution for them yet

chapter 5 is the first time i feel like its kicking my ass, going to look into different tutorials online, im getting a grasp of things just feel like i need a more coherent direction when it comes to the execution of things

I managed to do the exercises/ challenges for chapter 4, ima keep reading and see if chapter 5 gives me any trouble. So far so good

I got the code to work, but it doesn't feel like I learned how to "properly" think or assess any of the material

finished chapter 4, this is the first instance where the book asks you to do your own thing and see if it works

starting to understand conceptually but not so much in practice

this currently is monkey see monkey do, but i will save judgement on how much i retain
