I took my sewing machine of the shelf a couple of weeks ago and Tilly decided it was a great high up place to do a loaf pose.

@charliejane.bsky.social I'm sure he or she is a very good boy, but why is he your book cover on the Google results for Lessons in Magic and Disaster I wonder? No need to answer that, but please let us know if there will be a UK edition?

a) this advert for an Easter nativity misses that he dies at Easter, nativity is birth?
b) why is it targeting watchers of Rose Matefao on YouTube? How do I tell the algorithm that I'm not a Christian?
c) what the holy Jerusalem fuck is that bridge supposed to be? And why is Mary white?

I'm a bigger numpty. I managed to break my finger by having exactly the same accident twice on a fortnight. At least you only got a bump.

This garden tree stump has become overgrown with ivy. Apparently it was a listed ancient oak, but had become overwhelmed with pestilence and creepy crawlies. I found a twig pentacle on it earlier in the year. Does it bode well that my cat now sits on it glowing? Strangeness in the communal garden.

It is now cannon in my head that when Tardis energy Rose was writing Bad Wolf everywhere she and the 9th Doctor visited, she stopped of at the BBC Radio Theatre to add this The Cure playing live. #doctorwho

@margaret.bsky.social 2 fav gifts, though the cat doesn't look impressed. I woke her to take the pic. On the right is an accurate duplicate carving of a lion in a priory which is somewhere between 100 & 700? years old. (Google Cartmel Priory miserchord for more).

I didn't realise the discourse here was American. Christmas *is* secular in England & Wales now. Christians aren't a majority (Census reported in the Guardian) but Christmas is still a holiday that is celebrated with trees, parties & gifts. (Graph from www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022...)

Secular British South Asians let off fireworks for Divali. Divali is Hindu, but Sikhs also have a holiday and do some bits of Divali. Those same secular people, Hindus and Sikhs will be eating Christmas dinner and decorating a Christmas tree. Here is a secular Divali pic.

Bell, Book and Candle is my new favourite Christmas movie. James Stewart meets Kim Novak on Christmas Eve.

Thank you to @annelouiseavery.bsky.social for the suggestion in the Old Fox Advent Calendar posts.

Today i saw a squirrel having his best day ever, carrying off a wrinkly old apple from the compost pile I share with my neighbour. I watched from inside, but didn't want to scare him away by getting a photo, so I've drawn the moment very, very badly, then used an AI to fix it. (Samsung AI).

Has anyone else had to give their cat bedside water to keep them away from your bedside water?

Happy Doctor Who Day. This is one of my favourite things from the 70s era. #doctorwho

#doctorwho Won't be having fish fingers & custard for tea. But I will have a finger sandwich followed by apple pie and custard. Here's a picture of that time I went to BritSciFi Con '23 in Leicester and met Peter Davison. I also met Janet Fielding & got quite emotional.

I am pretty bored of being housebound. (There's a lot of lying down after dislocating your hip). (Also Cambridge Imprint has very sturdy packaging

I refute this with Divali and photographic evidence of some definitely over the age of ten people.
