I’m a human who’s lived 1/2 a century watching life get harder for many, & I’ve been lucky for much of mine. I voice my opinion to reps in gov to push for things to help those marginalized people, march & protest, too. And I still have my own bad days/hurts. I mourn being ghosted by my best friend.

Watching TV with my baby-boomer dad, Inspiration Tv (not my choice) and see a commercial seeking immediate donations for the impacted Israelis… excuse me? Capitalizing on both older people, overly religious people and the Fox-news brained…found it in FB as I was looking. Uggg

As much as this should be the way to get through to other people, it doesn’t work. The right sees vulnerable people as weak, at-fault through “bad decisions,” and at times, just flat-out inferior, so appealing to empathy is useless.
