In my Inbox this morning. Are there UK based builders and infrastructure engineers we didn’t notice in the 2021 Census?

I see Starmer’s reverted to the usual Labour manifesto

“…always keep a-hold of Nurse
For fear of finding something worse.”

This overtly anti-trans tendency and anti-immigration mis-steps (you can’t challenge Reform by being the same) means we have to prepare for a one term government.

Labour is inferring that sickness absence in our children isn’t genuine but they are anxious. We all know what’s making the kids repeatedly absent. We never had this situation with a 40% increase compared to 2019. Yes children got sick but never this often and no child was off school persistently 🧵

Welcome to the new DfE. Same as the old DfE. I did vaguely contemplate applying for that behaviour adviser job but I didn't fit the criteria because I've never led a school. Looks like that wasn't actually essential. Hmm. 😒🙄

Disability cuts. I wanted to say this behaviour is unbelievable, but sadly it is believable.

Great graphics - long A&E wait times are caused by a lack of bed not by the number attending. It's counter-intuitive but really important in understanding how to fix the problem!
It was good to see @samfr.bsky.social say today that "the main reason for lengthy A&E waiting times is the lack of hospital beds for people who need admitting, which gums up the whole system as they have to keep being treated by emergency staff."

For those continuing to campaign on #COVID. I’m not a scientist but I am a teacher and I can see that we still haven’t convinced many on very fundamental issues. It would be better to go back and post everything from 2020 that was missed all over again. It’s all getting lost in translation. We can’t

One of JK Rowling's TERF friends was just arrested for assaulting a pregnant woman and a 10 year old child. She threatened to post pictures of them on Facebook calling them pedophiles for being at a LGBTQ event.

We told you this would happen.

Just concluded my keynote at Pride In London's Human Rights Forum.

I have announced today publicly that I now see it as my sad duty to make an evidence based report to Genocide Watch and The Lemkin Institute requesting investigation into the systematic oppression of the trans community of the UK.

Fellow LGBTQs - will you be celebrating pride this year? I somehow don’t feel like dancing to Gaga in sparkly hot pants is appropriate at this time? Chatted to Jude Guaitamacci of Trans Solidarity alliance about this in the lbc studios today, as trans ppl + allies stage the biggest lobby since s28.

Do you suggest people pre-empt this kind of rubbish by proactively raising it with their HR heads/bosses, explaining why they shouldn't touch the EHRC "guidance" with a barge pole?

Starmer bullshitting about the SC judgment to cover up govt lack of action to correct things, and Phillipson directing business back to the EHRC who then direct you to get a lawyer is *classic* organisational transphobia. It's all designed to take the heat off their own incompetence and transphobia.

I genuinely find this very shocking. Paul Nurse isn't a fringe figure or a random academic. Astonishing that government wasn't *approaching* the Crick for support with testing, even more astonishing that they ignored his frequent attempts to get in touch to offer expertise essentially for free.
Astonishing evidence at the Covid Inquiry.

The Government repeatedly ignored offers from the Crick Institute to provide mass testing on a national scale.

Instead, the Government paid Deloitte consultants to project manage, not yet established, privately run labs.

1/🧵 Many new archive finds. The UK considered in 2002 to use a remedial order under the Human Rights Act to bring the law into compliance with Goodwin & “I”.

The government opted for primary legislation because of the “complex knock-on effect”.
