Exactly. We don't bat an eye at spending 2000 per month on health insurance. Would could simply have single payer and tax 1000 per month and be done with it.

Yeah. I always take pains to say our current system is not a functioning free market.

It is a complicated subject. And a lot of money aimed at lobbying to keep our current inefficient system in place.
