You summarized my feelings completely. My belief in the good of people is being severely tested.
Every day, they break things that will never be unbroken again. I grieve those, but I knew I would. What I didn't expect to grieve is my faith and belief in the good of my fellow people. Wondering if the person I nod to in the street *wanted* all this, is ok with it all. I mourn that loss deeply.

Okay expert but I really don’t give two fucks about his age, I care about effectiveness and Chuck isn’t being effective. Twist it anyway you want Schumer isn’t the leader of the Senate we need right now, he doesn’t understand how to throw sand in the gears on our slow walk to authoritarianism.

I hope this is not true. Not sure why people would want this. I agree with him that we need to do two things- work on picking up Republican seats and getting in new democratic representatives who will fight for us. Am I missing something?
