Well if the 80 critics' reviews score can be trusted then I say you're in for a treat. S2 got 2% more than S1. A perfect 100%. And S2 is in more than 60 "Best TV shows of 2024".

This is screen rant from yesterday (quick searching). Mostly book fans and critics agree abt the show being very faithful to the books despite the changes. It feels very Anne Rice. But definitely try and see for yourself ☺️

Usually that's right. In this case though, this 'remake' is an exception. There's a reason why S1 got 98% on RT and S2 got 100%. I've been book fan for 30 yrs, love the og 94 movie too. This show is everything and beyond of a fan hope for.

My 1st ever fic was 2 yrs ago, #IWTV x Godfather where I drew comparison btwn the blood-thirsty, dark world of mafia with vampirism and how Louis couldn't hack it. Now watching the Godfather again, I would've written it differently, colder/crueler. But boy it was fun to write. #iwtvfanfiction

There's the side of Lestat being a reckless monster and there's the side of him who was unable to abandon his brothers and their kids #canon. I think he'd have gone to the remote villages that Akasha and he devastated, and 'looked at things', being remorseful and that's where he got Rose #iwtvfic
