Why think when it's easier to have someone do it for you? There was never this much outrage when certain games were digital only. This is literally all it is, a digital game with the added bonus of being able to sell it if you wanted.

I'm done here lol. My stance remains
1) Events should be downloaded from server and never issue code cards.
2) If the event isnt for a store near you and you arent willing to travel for it, the event is not for you.
3) If you take more than you need (in any aspect of life) then you are my enemy.

We are advocating for the same thing essentially, so I'm not sure why you are being so hostile. We both want codes to be available to everyone. I'm upset that people steal half a stack for either ebay or internet points, and I drove to Gamestop and they don't have any left for me.

By all means I totally agree with that, and Joe's post. They need to stop giving a set number of cards to the US stores, because they run out and people can't get access. If they just print out codes, there is no scarcity. And even better is internet download like you mentioned.

It is selfish, because the cards are taken in the US, in the first 30 minutes of the store opening. All of them. The whole stack. And people with jobs like myself aren't allowed to get the promo because some jackass took the stack and distributed them online before I could get there

The code card is to promote people to visit the store. So if you can't go to the store, maybe you shouldn't have access to a code that is given for customers of a store? But I can tell from your writing tone that you are another entitled Pokemon player that deserves everything (in their mind only).

A new code is generated automatically, so by printing dozens of them, it isn't stopping a kid from walking up to the counter and the cashier printing that kid one too. In the states, when their stack of cards is gone because one guy took half of them to sell, then there's no more for real customers.

It wouldn't happen to printouts because when you visit a store, they print one out for you with a new code. And it sucks that some people can't get to the store, but at the same time, I can't get to all the cool events in Asia, so its just how the cookie crumbles
September 26, 2025 at 6:24 PM
They grab extra cards and try to sell them online to people that couldn't get them (because other people grab more cards than they need)
September 26, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Get rich quick schemes are just so normalized in the states, I can't take it anymore
