Beautiful Marbled Eublemma purpurina is a stunning Migrant moth which I have recorded just twice. This year I caught one on a cliff top in Kessingland. Not many in Suffolk this year; what about elsewhere?

Time for another of our amazing British moths. This one, the Lilac Beauty. Trapped and released in my garden in Cheshire in June a few years ago. Lilac markings obvious on the leading wing edges. #moths

63 Moths of 12 species last night in our S.Yorks. garden, with 27 December Moths, including 2 females. Also a Pale Brindled Beauty. I don't think I've had a November one before.

One of my very favourite moths, the December Moth, has appeared in reasonable numbers here at Cley Moth Obs in recent days. Gorgeous wee beasties, surely the collective (on a good night for them) could be a "sleigh" of December Moths...
Awesome teddy bear of a moth 🙂

Euchromius ocellea is a snazzy migrant that appeared for many moth-ers in September and not just on the coast...there were some great inland records too.

Four-spotted Footman is a regular but never common visitor to my garden; usually in the Autumn and probably migrants. Only the females have the four spots that give them their name

The Daily Moth 1,307. One ongoing, anomalous omission from our garden list is Streak. I have seen it within a mile or two of home, but it doesn’t seem to wander far. And I guess time has run out for it reaching our garden this autumn. What autumn moths are you missing? #MuchAdoAboutMothing #TeamMoth
