Economic development should include and improve the whole community. Developers have a role to play, but our representatives have often bargained poorly. @dannyavula.bsky.social has a great opportunity to change course and lead the city in a new direction.

I agree, it would be good community building and would help offset the insane rents. It’s incredibly irritating that VCU doesn’t enthusiastically support this, especially since they are partially responsible for the existing situation. They certainly have lots of vacant properties.

Thanks for the response! Yes, I have used 5calls.org to call their office about refusing to vote on funding bills and appointments as well, it’s a great resource. Hopefully they will step up.
