Can you please put The Greatest Internet Video Of All Time on YouTube for easy sharing? It's very timely given that Farage's cuntery is very much in the news. Thanks.

Oh absolutely. Even without considering AI, it's got IT fiasco written all over it. Fujitsu and doubtless busy preparing a bid now....

It doesn't take a genius to predict that it will result in some hurriedly employed, inexperienced people making poor decisions that wreck lives (think Windrush) and subsequent legal claims that drag on for years and cost £billions.

On a practical questions, how is the Home Office (underfunded, in crisis and can't even handle the current asylum claims) going to cope with reviewing every asylum seeker's claim every 2-3 years for 20 years? That's a MASSIVE logistical undertaking. Hugely expensive and complex.

How it started:
Mahmood: "Dark forces are stirring up anger in this country, and seeking to turn that anger into hate. We must take the opportunity we have to stop that from happening."

Worth remembering too the old truism that administration of means testing benefits can cost more than the actual benefits themselves. A similar situation could occur here. We could spend an absolute fortune checking and rechecking working immigrants while child poverty rises.

One aspect to this, beyond the abhorrent morality of it... Asylum seekers are going to have their cases reviewed every 2.5 years I believe, for 20 years. That's a LOT of expensive admin. The Home Office is in utter chaos and we're trying to cut spending. How....?

This is awful beyond words. On behalf of men, I'm so sorry.

The whole point in talking about labour vote share, the "smug" point you can't see the point of, is that Starmer can't win in 2029 without broad support, no matter how well he "directs his resources". He could learn something from the 2017 and even 2019 elections about building broad support.
