I aged some Wray and Nephew for 4 weeks in a new charred oak mini barrel. Just drained it and put the final product in the vintage grenadine bottle after. It got so much color added from the barrel, and it went from super funky unaged to super oaky and spicy.

Next up will be a mai tai with it.

The bottle of aged rum has a vintage Trader Vic’s pomegranate grenadine syrup logo with a tropical thatched roof building and a topless woman on it.

Made a Beachcomber tonight
A coup glass with a cloudy, light color cocktail in it. Behind the glass is a bottle of Probitas rum, Combier triple sec, and Luxardo maraschino liqueur. Screenshot of information about a Beachcomber cocktail: This is a surprisingly restrained recipe from Trader Vic, a man known more for serving up colorful tipples in giant bowls and tiki mugs. You can't go wrong with this one on a warm summer evening (trust us, we're drinking it now!) Ingredients and instructions for making a Beachcomber cocktail: 2 oz Light rum ¾ oz Triple sec ½ oz Maraschino liqueur ½ oz Lime juice INSTRUCTIONS: Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
