The talk itself was somewhat interesting, but I just cannot understand why you would use a genAI image of a map of germany. It was not even that the map showed anything more than the outline. There are tons of easily accessible and free resources on the web, and you ask chatGPT for one??

It is such bs that Johnson, after all the howling about how dems keep the government from working, just straight up refuses to take serious whatever deal they might get in the senat. Next time the republicans know that they just have to wait until the next holiday because dems hate working overtime.

The SNAP thing felt like such an easy messaging win for the dems. Trump just did the dumbest thing imaginable unprompted; something that the republicans would have to own without an easy way to blame the dems. But at least they have the concept of a promise of a vote now.

I think next time I have some time to waste and am not builind my gif website further, I will try to actually model something, then make a material for it in material maker and finally add it to a scene with more professional props to see how it compares.

I am not and never will be any kind of artist, but it is fun playing around with stuff like this. Now Blender does get in the way sometimes because I do not know how to do a thing and am frankly too lazy to spend more than 5 minutes learning, but seeing what I can do with pressing buttons is fun.

Getting ready for his magnum opus movie "Am I a Nazi?" in like two years.

Ok technically it was only one country over but the fastest route went through another country so I count that as two.

That reminds me, Don Norman had something along the same base"There were so many medical devices, so many readouts and displays, that I could not even see the patient until someone walked over and pointed. [...] So many numbers we lose sight of the person." from A Fetish for Numbers: Hospital Care

That happened to me too. Just explored a bit, had a lot of fun fighting that one boss, and then suddenly there was a title screen.

I just don't want to touch the parser anymore, but changing the byte values per hand is a hassle. I probably should just take the hint and do it right this time, better thana dding more convoluted code.

So once I got that main feature of adding and deleting blocks implemented, you can even recode your gifs, if that is what you are into. I won't judge because it is client side only; no byte of your precious gifs ever touch the neocities server where it is hosted.
