Demand balancing is a great thing for electricity, it helps match to variable supply and reduces the need for expensive storage or (god forbid) adding more gas turbines that can provide rapid supply at peak times.

They need time to add the finishing touches.

We need to Primary Everyone. Given how few competitive seats there are, primaries are the only way to either oust or wake up complacent incumbents.

It seems really simple to do, and all it really has to cost is some paint and post, and flowerpots if you're feeling fancy.

Seattle's residential areas are suuuper griddy.
I used to live close to a spot where the grid was intentionally broken. This was done simply and cheaply, some paint and posts, and a neighbor's flowerpots).

Grid for people, cul-de-sac for cars.

Is there a reason not to do this all over the residential parts of Seattle?

North Seattle College is a short walk away, with super over-built parking that from my experience is mostly used by parents teaching their 15-year-olds how to park.

I love it! Still a long long way to go
The office park to the southeast is mostly surface parking, and is as close to the station as the mall is. Haven't heard of any plans to make use of that space.

Got a Sara Nelson flyer after already sending my ballot in. Was surprised to see The Urbanist quoted so prominently.

A big video board popped up in Northgate station recently. It's not showing ads (yet?). Perhaps not related to the downtown ones, but it sure rhymes with them.

Housing, trees, and no setbacks! People don't realize it's possible because it's illegal where they live.

I'm glad link's arrivals seem reliable for the upcoming train, but why is the next one after that always missing? There's one coming in 15 minutes that's not listed. @typewriteralley.bsky.social ?

No photos on the train unfortunately, but Link is the best way to get to Bark at the Park!

He might be the same guy that had the giant Elon+Chainsaw paper mache at Hands Off! Hard to tell from the photo, but he was also an older man, same glasses.

Robert Moses wrote a "sex-filled novel" and you want me to believe that Caro couldn't find it? I've slogged through 800 pages, I deserve at least a snippet!
